Perfect in two tones.

Perfect in two tones
Burgundy around soft blush
Brief ideal roseness.

I really saw this rose once. I was in high-school, working as a roofer during the summer. One of our customers had a flower garden with that perfect rose. Well, not really perfect. All the careful breeding that resulted in the "perfect" two tone blossom also resulted in a blossom that only lasted a couple of days on the bush. I wasn't quite able to convey the irony of the rose's "perfection" in the haiku, except for the brief reference "brief" which dosn't really make the point. Think more like the androids on Blade Runner.

The rose was beautiful anyway, And brevity isn't a bad thing (or I wouldn't write Haiku).
