Paper piles knee high

Paper piles knee high.
Saving the world, life by life,
A memory lost

If you can save one life, you're doing pretty good. It must be invigorating to know that you are impacting so many people's lives as a teacher. Maybe a little daunting too.

But there's really not so much to it as that... The idea is to make a difference, but the effect is to become a cog in a machine.

The parts that make the most difference to people are when you are sincere, and caring, and I see you do those things all the time. Making a difference as a teacher means trying to do those things when people are paying you to have insincere, data-driven relationships with people.
